I have recently returned to The Wellness center after a few years, although I realize time has passed, I am Appalled how dirty it is and the fact that it seems there is absolutely no maintenance going on! The pool and spa need a good cleaning people!
It’s disgusting. What’s going on? It used to be a nice facility. Spend some money, you get plenty, clean and paint and do some repairs, so we actually want to be there and not feel like it needs HELP!! I’m considering not going back ? after all.

The wellness center is a pretty complete facility. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Once upon a time prior to the Dignity health group owning the building there were classrooms available for yoga, dance, Pilates, classes etc. this has all been moved to the fitness center. I'd love to have this back but I know that's not going to happen. The vibe here is more restorative and physical therapy and let's be blunt: A little more mature.
The fitness center tends to be a little bit more muscle minded, and is a gym for people who are serious about muscle. This is now also the location of most of the classes.

Everyone there is really nice and genuinely cares about your health. Well maintained and clean. Salt water pool and jacuzzi reel great and the chemicals are checked often. Dry sauna is nice and toasty.

Honestly it’s not worth the $50 a month that they are charging. The equipment is very old and obsolete, a lot of the equipment doesn’t even function properly, it always reeks of mold in the gym. i’ve been to other gyms for that price range and have an amazing experience, this gym offers little to nothing. Save you money just work out at home. It only gets two stars because it has weights in it, i guess ‍♂️

They have 2 locations (1 on Lassen lane & the other on S. Mt.Shasta Blvd - very south end of town.)
Lassen has spa and sauna, South End has lane pool for lap swim that you can call to reserve lane times.
Lucia is a fantastic physical therapist.
There are some very curtious staff & some not so (thus the 4 stars instead of 5).
Great concentration of fitness equipment and treatment rooms.

Nice relaxing sauna. Keeps at steady 180 degrees F. (usually, if controls don't break down from customer meddling and throwing water on heater.)

The people who work here are so helpful and friendly...great staff! And they are always making improvements on the facility... plus there is free childcare on weekday mornings.
