I hadn’t gone to the dentist in over a year after moving to Davis. When I finally decided to go, all of the dentist offices in Davis would not see me until a month, two months, even six months! When I called Dixon Smiles they were able to see me within a week! I was really nervous to go but the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Kimberly specifically was extremely helpful over the phone when trying to figure things out with my insurance. My dentist herself was amazing as well. She made this whole process happen with ease and with no anxiety. Amazing staff! Thank you!

I had a negative experience with Thrive Dental when the receptionist assumed that I did not have proper insurance and was very rude on the phone. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful to potential patients. I would not recommend this dental office based on my interaction with their staff.

I found this dental office on a Saturday night when I was experiencing horrible tooth pain and was able to get in contact with the dentist at Dixon Smiles. They recommended I go to the ER to get antibiotics right away and told me to come into their office first thing on Monday. I was very scared to start my dental process because I knew it would be lengthy but everyone at the office has became like family. Everyone is very nice and actually acknowledge when i’m in pain. Through wisdom teeth extractions, root canals, crowns, fillings and cleanings, they’ve made me feel very comfortable. They’ve made my dental experience something I look forward to rather than fear. Super grateful for all the assistants and Dr. Bashandy.

I've always had bad experiences with dentist visits. It made me terrified of sitting in a dentist's chair. Today after getting some work done here at Dixon Smiles my anxiety has been greatly reduced. All the girls there make you feel at ease and the doctor was very patient and calming. The pain and discomfort I was expecting never came and I attribute that to a dentist who actually knows what they're doing. I definitely would recommend anyone to this office. Especially those who loathe going to the dentist like I do.

Worst dentist experiences ever.
1. Told me they didn’t accept my insurance and tried to charge me thousands in advance. I called insurance and finally dentist agreed to do my crown.
2. Dentist didn’t do any of the work on my crown but instead passed me on to her assistants who couldn’t get a correct mold therefore the temp crown. Fell out an hour after leaving.
3. I was under the impression it would only take 2 or 3 visits max, however it was 5 visits at an hour and a half drive.
4. The assistant struggled to get crown to fit and form correctly so ended up
leaving with an uncomfortable crown which 8 months later has now fallen out.

I would never recommend this dentist to ANYONE! I’m not able to assess her work since she never actually didn’t do anything herself other then exhibit a rude and dishonest attitude since the minute I walked in the door.

Stephanie was great! The other staff was pleasant but didn’t seem too educated in what they were doing and weren’t successful in the end.

Enter at your own risk, but I wouldn’t though If I were you. There are so many better options available where your teeth will actually last a while after seeing them instead of fall out after 8 month. EPIC FAIL!!!! 1 STAR and that’s for Stephany.

Not once but twice within (5)mos. I was treated very unprofessionally here. I will not return. Watch out for every X-ray taken,& make sure if you go to be adamant about if they approved work already with your insurance before you waste a trip like I did twice. They even gave me shots for no reason & said “sry we can’t do anything until insurance responds in a week or so”. Very dissatisfied. Malpractice is the word here. I recommend not letting this place handle your care.
