I’m really glad I found this place. Dr. Tu & the staff are very helpful. The most important takeaway for me was they listened to my problems and treated me in steps that best fitted me. I’ve had chronic pain from my previous ankle ligament repair and they took care of pain.

They took tests, xrays, & cortizone shot before resorting to surgery. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Tu explained the entire surgical procedure to me beforehand and what to expect with recovery post-op.

My experience with Dr. Tu and the staff at University F&A Specialist has been nothing but successful and appreciation. Communication, care, cleanliness, and politeness amongst eachother and thier patients is very visible. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone needing a F&A Specialist that not only does good work but also takes pride in it.

Highly recommend this office for foot issues. My Dr. Tu is very kind and experienced. This office is located on the ground floor in the corner (on the side of the building closest to CVS) plenty of free parking. I recommend calling for appointment and insurance questions.

Dr. Richard Tu was a miracle worker, as I had a very complex bunion issue with a previous failed surgery 10years ago with a different surgeon. Dr Tu spent the time to review all my options and he also consulted his colleagues on the issue ,and came up with the best path forward. I am very happy with the results and he will be doing my other foot with the lapiplasty procedure. The Mira Mesa team in the office has been great as well.

I’m so glad that I found Dr Tu for my bunion surgery. He’s a very personable doctor and his staff is very professional and kind. I had my first surgery last year and I’ve just scheduled my next surgery. I enjoy our talks during my appointments. Dr Tu explains all the procedures throughly and he shows you in detail what is going to happen during surgery. If you are thinking about having bunion surgery Dr Tu is a great doctor to do your surgery. Recovery depends on the person and I’m not back to where I was before surgery but I’m getting there. I wish I hadn’t waited so long to have the surgery done.

Dr. Tu is very nice and knowledgeable, I felt comfortable in his care. The staff are also very friendly. My only "gripe" is that the office smells like an old/bad air filter.

Dr. Tu and his staff provided me a fantastic patient experience. I had a very positive surgery experience, Dr. Tu and his team were prompt on addressing any concerns or issues I had. The front office is always welcoming and answer the phones promptly and are friendly, never coming across as bothered by the phone call. I highly recommend Dr. Tu and his team with any podiatry/surgical needs.
