I had an absolutely terrible experience with Dr. Pham at Wellness Podiatry, and I would highly recommend avoiding this practice at all costs. From the moment of my first appointment, the customer service and bedside manner were shockingly poor.

At my initial consultation, I was under the impression that I was there to discuss treatment options for my ingrown toenail. Instead of focusing on my concerns, Dr. Pham immediately shifted the conversation toward billing, making it clear that he needed to confirm what type of referral my insurance was under so he could bill me for a second appointment. It was appalling how blatantly focused he was on charging me for future visits rather than providing care or clarity about the procedure.

When I returned for the second appointment to actually have my ingrown toenail removed, things got worse. Dr. Pham failed to explain the procedure in detail or tell me what he was doing as he went along. It was unsettling to feel so in the dark during a medical procedure. To top it off, he wanted to charge me $60 for a foot soak—something I could easily do myself at home with $5 Epsom salt from the store. This felt like a blatant money grab.

During the procedure, I became lightheaded from seeing the blood, which I communicated to Dr. Pham, only for him to show zero compassion. Worse yet, when I expressed concern that he had taken too much of my nail off, he dismissed my worries without explanation. The lack of empathy was astounding.

After the procedure, the toe he worked on got infected. I had to call the office repeatedly from 8 AM to 5 PM, essentially badgering them to send an antibiotic prescription to my pharmacy. The front desk staff finally let me know that Dr. Pham sees over 40 patients a day, as if that was an excuse for their poor responsiveness. I told them point blank that this was part of the problem—they’re herding patients through like cattle, with no care for individual needs.

To make matters worse, when I called to cancel my follow-up appointment, they didn’t even ask why or inquire about the infection. No concern at all about my well-being.

I decided to seek care elsewhere and ended up going to Roseville Foot and Ankle. The difference was night and day. The staff there were polite, professional, and communicated everything clearly. The doctor I saw had outstanding bedside manner, which could not be more different from the cold and impersonal experience with Dr. Pham.

If you’re looking for a doctor who will actually care about your health and well-being, Wellness Podiatry and Dr. Pham are not the place for you.

I came to see Dr. Pham earlier in 2024 for an ingrown toe nail. Instead of removing the nail, he recommended we fight the fungus first.

I’m happy to say after 8 months of treatment, my feet have never felt better and my athletes feet and fungus is completely cured.

My experience may differ from others, but he is definitely worth a visit!

Racheal was fantastic as always with my medical pedicure. Dr Pham removed my nail last year due to fungus (10years and my doctors didn't do anything after several trauma) and it's growing back. Dr. Pham was awesome. I've had an issue with Toenail fungus for years. Was pretty bad. Spoke to my Dr. at Kaiser and they said they would not treat. I was referred to Dr. Pham by a nurse friend and was not disappointed. After finishing my treatment, my nails look amazing. Dr. Pham is very kind and his staff, the same!!! Would recommend to anyone with foot fungus or any other foot issues. Before and after. Thank you Dr. Pham, my wife will foot snuggle now:)
